Rendezvous are a fantastic new London-based function band, recreating music from the past five decades with flawless musicianship, luxurious and versatile vocals accompanied with passionate performances and professionalism.

This astonishingly enthusiastic & lively band are the new generation of entertainment, using the best of modern music technology to capture the authentic sounds of your party favourites, as well as an extensive song list to cater for all occasions.

Walk Like An Egyptian

The band members’ history is reassuringly impressive. They have performed in some of the best music venues in London, UK, Europe and America including The Royal Albert Hall, The Viper Rooms in Los Angeles (Johnny Depp’s club), The London Palladium, Millennium Dome, Millennium Stadium, IndigO2 and Shepherds Bush Empire.

Recording and session work has also taken place at some of the UK’s finest studios, with some of the country’s best new artists, as well as live TV and radio performances across the UK and America; including BetaRecordsTV, Phoenix at Pinewood Studios, RAK Studios, Applebeam Studios, Eden Studios, Kensal Road Studios and Cava Studios, to name but a few. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the band’s function experience also stems to cruise contracts with P&O, and gigs all across the UK and Europe for companies such as Fly Emirates and American Express.

Whether it’s perfecting your first dance or playing your all-time favourites, this band are always willing to go that extra mile. Don’t just have a rendezvous…. Have ‘The Rendezvous’!

Client Comments
Wedding,St Albans August 2010
We had Rendezvous play for our wedding and I can’t tell you how fantastic they were. From start to end they were so friendly and helpful which made such a difference as there were a few delays during the day meaning that things were running a bit late but the bad were fantastic, they just took it in their stride and worked around us. The music itself was perfect and they even learnt our first dance! Everybody commented about how good they were. What a fantastic end to a fantastic day and I would defiantly recommend them to anyone.

Thank you Rendezvous!

Nottingham July 2010
My husband and I got married on July 17th 2010 and we were looking for a band that not only was amazing but could also help us organise our music in between them playing. The Rendezvous were this band! At the beginning we explained exactly what we were looking for. We had asked our guests pick their favourite songs and also put a list of our favourite songs together. Along with the bands help, they gave us a list of what they would sing in two sets. All the other music they helped us download and put in a suitable order and with the equipment they used, were able to play our songs from 6pm until midnight with their two sets in between.

That was just the beginning!! On the day itself, they had coordinated with the hotel without any help from me, to set up. I didn’t even know they were there, they were so professional.

When they started to play everyone got up on the dance floor and they literally stayed that way all night. I have been to so many weddings where it all dies down and believe me the band got absolutely everyone on the dance floor. OUTSTANDING!

From start to finish they were a great support to my husband and I and to be honest took so much stress away from our wedding planning. We will be using them again at every opportunity for parties and we cannot recommend them enough.

Thank you
- Kirstie and Andy Mackintosh

With their smart suits and ability to actually play their instruments the Pleasers Quartet were at the forefront of the new wave of guitar-based groups that swept through the Britain’s music industry in the late 70’s.

They wrote and performed great songs with superb harmonies, jangling guitars and pure sixties drum fills, and their live shows brought back the fashion for being surrounded by cool guys wearing thin ties and screaming mini skirted girls.

As proud Londoners, the group described their sound as Thamesbeat but you might know it better by the name their music was given by press of the time: Powerpop. Yes The Pleasers were the group who gave birth to the title that defines strong melodic pop to this day.

Heaven are a four-piece band based in North London. They were formed in 2000 and consist of Nick (Vocals/Guitar), Steve (Vocals/Keyboard), Vincent (Bass) and Philip (Drums). Individual performers/musicians/characters/, each immensely talented and unique alone but brought together by the fusion that is Heaven.

Twin brothers Nick and Steve have been writing and performing music together for many years. A few years ago they decided to expand their set-up from duo to bans and broad spectrum of musical interest, that love to perform. They spent almost nine months looking for the right musicians to share their vision and after meeting like minded Nick M and Pete the transformation was complete and Heaven was born.

Dear Marcus,
I just wanted to drop you a note to say a HUGE thank you to you and the band for being absolutely amazing at our wedding. You were absolutely fantastic, had the dancefloor jumping and the Bugsy Malone song was the hi-light of the night – people are still talking about it.

It was an absolute honour to have you there and we will definitely be telling all our friends that are getting married to have you as their band.

Hi Marcus,
Just wanted to say a BIG BIG thank you to you and the band for a wonderful evening. You guys crept off so quietly we didn’t get a chance, as you can imagine we were so busy. Your professionalism, arrangements and vocals were superb which made a fantastic party atmostphere. Exactly what we wanted and we’re so glad we picked you. Our guests have not stopped commenting and praising you and we will certainly be recommending you for years to come.

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!

Best wishes and all our love.
- Jenny and Charlie Earley xx

Hello Marcus,
Hope you are well. Sorry we haven’t contacted you sooner – we have just come back from our honeymoon. Just wanted to say a massive thank to you and your band for playing at our wedding on the 1st May 2010. You guys were simply amazing! Everyone was taken aback not only by the quality of the singing but by the versatility of your performances. We noticed that even the owners of the venue came to watch and I hope they will be booking you soon! Please let us know if you guys ever do any performances nearby – we would certainly love to see you again.

Thanks again to you and the band for making it a fantastic night!
- Monica

Hi Marcus,
I hope you’re well. I just wanted to write you a quick note to say how fantastic you and your band were at our wedding on the 25th September. You were as good if not better than we remembered you and I can’t even tell you how many people commented on how great you were! (Almost everyone basically!)

I’ll definitely pass your name on to anyone I know who is getting married and that is looking for a band, and hope to see you again providing we’re then invited!! You were professional and awesome as we both expected and it’s obvious that you enjoy what you do as well, which always helps!

Thanks again, please pass on our best to all your band mates, you all helped to make our day the perfect day it was.

Cheers Marcus,
- George & Gemma Pointon-Taylor

Dear Marcus Malone and Motor City Party Band,
We are so sorry it has taken us so long to write to you to say thank you very much for the amazing music you provided at our wedding reception on 24 August 2008. I started my new job as a teacher as soon as we got back from our honeymoon and since then it has been non stop work in the evenings and most weekends. We also moved fairly soon after the wedding and, although this was only to the flat next door, the move was quite stressful and took up a lot of our spare time.

We had a fabulous time at our reception and we really had a fantastic time on the dance floor, as did many of our guest. The music we had at our wedding was very important to us and our parents, in order that the right atmosphere was created, and we couldn’t have imagined the music and dancing to go any better. As soon as the the music stated the dance floor quickly filled up and it remained full all night. We really do feel that you are a truly brilliant band and so many of our friends and family have commented on how amazing you were.

Many, many thanks again and we wish you all well and hope you are all having a happy and successful New Year.

Kind regards,
- Sarah and Keith Curtis

Dear Marcus,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the Motor City band personally for playing at our Wedding on the 11th October 2008.

As a music lover I had previously had nightmares about the quality of wedding entertainment on offer at weddings, especially after attending various others which I felt had been let down by a cheesy disco at the end, playing the usual dire mixture of songs from nasty wedding compilation albums, all I can say is they should have booked the Motor City Party Band because you were fantastic.

The first dance of “Something” by George Harrison, although not Motown, was covered with such finesse even my seriously fanatical Beatles fan friend was deeply impressed. Great vocals and a spot on guitar solo were the comments. You judged the mood perfectly throughout the evening, managing to get almost every single guest on the dance floor at some point. I think it speaks volumes for this to range from my 10 year old cousin to my 85 year old grandmother.

Everyone was commenting on how wonderful the band was, some people said you were the best band they had ever seen! others said how they would like to book you themselves in the future, so expect some more contacts for sure.

Finally I would like to say a special thanks for traveling to play for us, we look forward to booking you again in London either personally or as a recommendation at work.

All the very best
- Oliver and Claire

Hi Marcus
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the band for a wonderful performance on Friday. Everyone commented on how great you were. I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as Grant and I did.

Thanks again.

Best wishes,
- Sara

Re. 19th July in Winchester.
Dear Marcus,
Sorry this has been a while in coming forward, we have just returned from a fantastic honeymoon in Fiji and California (and now feel very cold indeed having been in 90+ degrees for the last three weeks!!)

We had a great day on the wedding and I wanted to write to thank you for your utmost professionalism and dedication the job in hand -which was making our wedding evening a great night for everyone, and getting people who I’ve never seen move out of their chairs at weddings previously, up on that dancefloor shakin their thang!! You were all we had hoped for and more and I can only genuinely thank you for helping our wedding to be so much fun.

Everyone commented on what a great band you are and how much fun you gave to the party. I was only too sorry that I didn’t get to spend more time on the dancefloor (although that might have been in everyone’s best interests given my general lack of co-ordination…!!!) the night seemed to whizz by so fast, it was so much fun. I also would like to thank you for being flexible regarding the timings etc – my father and I had previously had a few heated debates about the fireworks as he kept changing his mind on the timings of doing it – so I really appreciated you being generous in your time and the general organization of everything with him changing his mind at the last minute!

Many thanks again and kind regards
- Amy

Hi Marcus
Would just like to say how fantastic the performance by you and your band was on Saturday 2nd August.

Every single person at the reception has commented on how great the music was and how you were able to get everyone dancing, young and old.

The way you sang our first dance song was truly memorable and my wife even told me it was better than the original, which I agree with. Especially given the short amount of time in which you learnt the song.

We wish to give our gratitude for make our wedding even more unforgettable, and would recommend you whole heartedly to everyone.

Many thanks
- Michael & Dionne

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the Motor City Group for playing at my wedding in May. They were absolutely brilliant and the dance floor was packed all night long! All my guests commented on how great they were and a few have even asked for your number for their upcoming weddings.

Please pass my thanks to Marcus and the band.

Regards,
- Carly and Marek
